- Ancestor's Visage and its duplicate, Sympathetic Visage, are the only Mesmer enchantments that targets any ally rather than self.
- Ancestor's Visage can be used with other energy denial skills, Spirit Shackles, and Mind Wrack in an energy denial/damage build.
- Is often used in PvE Spiteful Spirit Necromancer/Mesmer builds. Such builds are known as SS/SV necros.
- Using this skill on excessively large groups of enemies may cause Error 7 or a client crash. A similar effect occurs with the skill Seed of Life.
