Bonder is a term that refers to a monk who specializes in protecting the party by placing Life Bond and/or Life Barrier on all or some of its members.

Bonders generally run high Protection Prayers and Divine Favor, then place Life Bond or Life Barrier (or both), on all party members or designated ones (such as tanks or healers). Either bond spell can prevent 50% of the damage from getting through to the bonded ally and together they take off 75%. In exchange for this excellent defensive scheme, the bonder can do little else but maintain energy through Blessed Signet, due to energy constraints.

A typical bonder build is the Mo/Me PvE Life Barrier Monk.

Note: There are many ways in which Bonder monks can get the job done. Please keep all edits pertaining to how a specific bonding build should work to the article describing that build.
