In Guild Wars, a character usually refers to a player's in-game avatar, which the player guides through the game. Each game account offers the ability to create up to 4 characters while having 1 campaign and up to 2 additional character slots for each additional campaign. It is also possible to purchase up to 26 additional character slots from the Guild Wars in-game store.
There are also many NPCs in the game.
