Description
The Crystalline Sword is one of the more unique-looking swords in the game. It is very rare and very highly sought. Perfect versions are among the most highly prized items available in Guild Wars. The blade is made of a piece of thin, translucent crystal.
Location
Dye
Applying dye to this sword affects the hilt (the gold part of the sword in the image). It also seems to make the color of the dye appear a little brighter or off-tint (such as a yellow being a bright, slightly green color), when coloring the shaft in one color, the blade gets the inverted color in the icon. Before an update, Crystalline swords when dyed would affect the entire blade, tinting the crystalline blade a different color.
Notes
- Other items with this appearance:
- A Long Sword with the Crystalline Sword skin is given as part of the reward for completing the Pre-Searing quest, "The Prize Moa Bird." This sword is the object of a common scam.
- Crystalline Swords from the Hall of Heroes chest come with an Inscription slot, as of the January 19th Update. Previously, they dropped from this chest without an Inscription slot but instead, with an inherent damage modifier which cannot be removed or changed.
