Dungeons are described as chained instances. Dungeons are reset by exiting and re-entering them, however, while a party remains within a dungeon, there is some degree of persistence between its zones. Dungeons that were released before Eye of the North are considered either explorable areas or elite missions, and they behave in similar ways.
