Dwarven Boxing is a mini-game introduced in Eye of the North. It takes place through a series of quests given by Kilroy Stonekin in Gunnar's Hold which allows you to fight different enemies coming from all over Tyria. He gives you a set of Brass Knuckles to start off, though near the end of the chain of quests, you will be given Thunderfist's Brass Knuckles, a rare pair of inscribable daggers. For a full list of quests involved in Dwarven Boxing, please see Category:Dwarven Boxing.

Tips

To gain maximum advantage use this weapon customized, inscribed with a "Brain over Brawn" inscription, and upgraded with a Dagger Handle of Shelter, Defense, or (for use in Fronis Irontoe's Lair) Dwarfslaying.

  • Armor is unaffected by the Brawling effect. Consider using Brawler's Insignias on an extra set of armor you can wear to obtain maximum defense against attacks while Brawling.
  • Make the most of your Brawling.

Enemies give large amounts of experience when killed. Bring one Insight Scroll of choice to use while completing Fronis's Lair. The Dungeon, when played on hard mode, will take a little less than 10 minutes, ideal for Adventurer's, Hero's, and Lightbringer scrolls. Alternatively, there will always be an enemy within reach, so a Brawler's or Rampager's scroll can easily last till the end of the dungeon.

Boxing Strategies

  • When using Brawling Straight Right, avoid using it as a damage dealer. This skill is very useful in interrupting self heals, such as Healing Signet and Lion's Comfort.
  • Brawling Combo Punch should be used right before you are about to get knocked out. This is useful, because as soon as you get back up, Brawling Combo Punch is recharged.
  • Keep Brawling Block up as much as possible as it is hard to tell which move your opponent will use next, this way you can avoid maximum damage. Also use Brawling Combo Punch as often as possible because its recharge is timed.
