Description
Faction with the Kurzicks is a PvE reward system that is gained by completing challenges for the Kurzick nation. It can be used to benefit the player or to gain standing for the player's alliance with the Kurzick nation. The second Guild Wars campaign has been named Factions because the story focuses on the faction of the Luxons and the Kurzicks who compete with each other for resources in Cantha.
Uses
- A player can exchange 1 000 Kurzick faction points for one Amber Chunk at the Kurzick Bureaucrat in House Zu Heltzer.
- A guild member can transfer 5 000 Kurzick into their alliance's Alliance's Faction by talking to a Kurzick Scribe (in their Guild Hall as well as in House zu Heltzer) to transfer his faction. If you have Luxon faction when you do this, you will lose up to 5000 Luxon faction.
- By transferring your Kurzick Faction, you will work towards your Kurzick Alliance title which requires 250 000 transferred faction for the first title. Allegiance rank
How to Obtain
- To obtain Kurzick faction, there are a few thing you can do:
- Compete in Alliance Battles, accessed via your Guild Hall
- Try your hand at the Kurzick competitive missions, Fort Aspenwood (Kurzick) and The Jade Quarry (Kurzick).
- You can also try the challenge missions, Amatz Basin and Altrumm Ruins
- Complete quests acquired from Kurzick NPCs.
Notes
- If you have more unspent Kurzick faction than Luxon faction, trader NPCs in any Luxon-owned town will not talk to you with the exceptions of Xunlai Agents and collectors.
- Even if you are a member of a guild which is allied with the Luxons, Kurzick trader NPCs will still talk to you provided you personally have more Kurzick faction than Luxon.
- The maximum Kurzick Faction you can have on an account is 10 000. Any faction points gained from that point will not be added to your account and will not count toward your total faction earned so far.
- Faction points are account-based and therefore shared by all characters in an account. This fact can be put to good use when attempting the Befriending the Kurzicks quest with multiple characters.
