Weapons that cause fire Damage
Fire Wands, Fire Staves, some Holy Rods, Holy Staves, and Fiery Dragon Swords cause this damage type.
All weapons except staves have the fiery weapon upgrade that make a weapon cause fire damage.
Weapon Upgrades and Armors that protect from fire damage
- Ranger Armor (all of them) have +30 armor against Elemental damage.
- Elementalist Pyromancer's Armor has +10 armor against fire damage and +10 against Elemental damage (not the head armor).
- Monk Wanderer's Armor has +10 armor against Elemental damage (not the head armor).
- Aditional Weapon Upgrades give +4-7 Armor against fire damage.
As fire damage is one of the most common damage types, it is wise to have protection from it readily available.
When to use Fire
Anything aligned with earth, water or death will take significantly more damage from fire attacks. Anything aligned with fire will take significantly less damage from fire. Thus, fire damage is especially effective in Kryta and Maguuma, and particularily uneffective in post-Searing Ascalon and the Ring of Fire.
