Gwen-chan
AF09

A character as Gwen-Chan, from the 2009 April Fools event.

Gwen-chan is the cartoon version of the young Gwen from pre-Searing Ascalon, appearing on the Japanese Guild Wars webpage. Along with her companion, Dr. Boar, she provides tutorial help.

April Fools'

During the 2009 April Fools event, characters were turned into Gwen-Chan while in all cities, mission locations, and outposts. PvP districts and level one characters were exempt from the effect.

When zoomed in to first-person while under the avatar, the view becomes glitched.

The majority of emotes will have no effect while under the Gwen-Chan avatar. Emotes that work are:

  • /beckon
  • /cheer
  • /clap
  • /flute
  • /fistshake
  • /sit
  • /point
  • /rank
  • /zrank

Mysterious Tonic

There is a small chance to be turned into this form when using a Mysterious Tonic.

Miniature

A Gwen-chan miniature is a rare drop available from the Gift of the Traveler.

Notes

  • When using the /flute emote under the Gwen-chan disguise, flute music will play.
