General
- Holy damage is a damage type caused by some monk and dervish skills.
- A few monk and dervish skills convert weapon damage to holy damage.
- There are no weapons that inherently cause holy damage. Monk Smiting Rods and Smiting Staves inflict light damage, which is functionally the same.
- Skills causing holy damage ignore armor.
- Weapons causing holy damage (as a result of damage type conversion due to skill effects) do not ignore armor.
- Holy damage is neither physical nor elemental damage.
- Nothing protects specifically against holy damage.
- Holy damage deals double damage to undead creatures, such as minions. It also deals double damage to a few non-undead creatures, such as the Phantoms in the Ring of Fire Islands.
- The Necromancer's Tormentor's Armor and Necrotic Armor take additional damage from holy damage.
