Notes
- When combined with Empathy or Spiteful Spirit, this skill is a very effective means of damaging enemies who rely on attacks.
- Unlike Empathy and Spiteful Spirit, Insidious Parasite will only trigger on a successful, non-blocked hit, rather than triggering on any attack.
- Because of its fairly high cost and recharge time, it would be wise to use a cover hex such as Parasitic Bond in conjunction with this skill.
- Multiple hit skills, such as Barrage and Hundred Blades, and the normal scythe ability to hit multiple targets will trigger Insidious Parasite on each hit.
- Note that, unlike Empathy or Spiteful Spirit, Insidious Parasite ends when the caster dies.
- Insidious Parasite works just like "lifesteal" skills such as Vampiric Touch and Vampiric Gaze in that it is not affected by damage modifiers. Whether or not your target has Frenzy or Dark Escape on, it will always steal the said amount of health and give it to the caster when triggered. This is different from Empathy and Spiteful Spirit which will be affected.
