Jotun are a species of giant ogrelike humanoid found in the northern reaches of the Tyrian continent in the Guild Wars Eye of the North expansion pack. They are about the size of common Tyrain Giants but have larger heads and lack horns. They typically carry any of a variety of over sized macelike weapons and wear only a crude loincloth around their waist. While Jotun do not appear to be intelligent, they can be heard to occasionally utter a few short phrases in the common tongue.
Jotun have also been seen to participate in organized fighting matches, which take place between two armed Jotun in what seems to be a ceremonial fighting ring, while other Jotun stand guard.
