Krytan armor

Prophecies Campaign

The Krytan armor is a set of armor art for the 6 core professions from the Prophecies Campaign. In the Prophecies Campaign, the Krytan Armor art is only used for the respective profession's collector armor (with the exception of Warrior which also use this art for Soldier's armor).

While the collector armors only have the most basic stats, its cost is relatively "free", and thus in general enjoys more popularity than the armorer version of the basic armor. It is thus not uncommon for players to only buy armor at Droknar's Forge, where armors reach their maximum stats and won't need to be upgraded anymore. As a corallary, the Krytan Armor skin appears much less often after the Southern Shiverpeaks.

Factions Campaign

In the Factions Campaign, the Krytan Armor art makes a comeback for the core professions, and is available as one of the two hidden-away armor arts available in explorable areas.

The corresponding armors for the Factions Campaign professions are called Imperial armor, and is crafted by the same crafter. There is also an Ascended version of the Imperial Armor, but the crafter, Maiya, does not make anything for the core professions.
