I've found another french guildwiki at http://gwiki.fr/
They even took over us on the french wikipedia Guild Wars's page (replacing our link at the bottom of the page).
But won't participate in thoses wiki for a while.
I don't like the way they do things in that new wiki.
It's sort of crappy.
--TulipVorlax 22:53, 23 February 2007 (CST)

Wow, according to the special pages, they have 1/4 of the pages of the original guildwiki.fr I wonder why Anet changed to them? --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 22:57, 23 February 2007 (CST)
Some Babelfishing suggests guildwiki.fr's server admin (and only bureaucrat) is MIA so someone set up gwiki.fr and some have moved on. --Fyren 23:05, 23 February 2007 (CST)

Sorry, what is MIA meaning? (ok found it there : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIA)

But yes, no news from Elenna. And since both wikis do things diferently, why not keeping both ? We have to think about this for a while... --TulipVorlax 17:52, 24 February 2007 (CST)

News: My project of a french Guild Wars Wikia might get accepted, sooner or later. We'll see... ---TulipVorlax 04:12, 5 March 2007 (CST)

French Guild Wars Wikia Edit

Finally! It's here :

What a happy day! --Tůζip Võrζąx 03:04, 8 March 2007 (CST)

SLI Edit

My SLI system is up and running. It has a dual core AMD on the Crosshair motherboard with a 10000RPM WD SATA2 hard drive powered by a NeoHE 550W. All of this fitting not so nicely in a Nine Hundred case.

I'm accepting advises on setting up a profile for GW in the SLI Nvidia driver (if it does not already exist). And any advise that could help in any way (except telling me to change some parts).

BonjourEdit

Guten tag. This is mostly all i know of german. This and "Du hast mich" from a song. See ya. -- TůζipVõrζąx Talk 08:28, 3 July 2007 (CDT)

SIGN Edit

Why did no one said to me my sig was violating this GW:SIGN ? I've learned it by the official wiki (find my talk there under same username). TulipVorlax 10:23, 2 September 2007 (CDT)

Because on GuildWiki, your old signature doesn't. We're a bit more relaxed about signatures than the official wiki. --◄mendel► 07:41, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
I know, now... ;-) — TulipVorlax 18:39, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

A 3 professions staff ??? Edit

What the heck ? See what i've just drop :

How can you use a staff that have things for 3 professions ? TulipVorlax 17:25, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

I've seen several of those. Random Attribute mods FTW! :P --- VipermagiSig -- (s)talkpage 17:27, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Raven Staff are notorious for that too. They drop in the Shiverpeaks of Prophecies more than anything else, yet usually are linked to Spawning Power or stuff like that. >.> Entropy Sig (T/C) 17:52, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
I suppose it's only good for people who want de mod... TulipVorlax 17:54, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
I hate mods that miss 1 procent to be perfect... Sooo annoying. I got a Primitive Staff 2 days ago with a monk attribute and a restoration rit bonus... I like the skin of that staff, it is somewhat hilarious, but the modifictaions ruined it... --Jorre22225 21:17, August 8, 2010 (UTC)
I think they wanted people to try all sort of crazy build like for the preceeding image having 12 in Water, some Inspiration spells and some Spawning ones. But sure, it can ruin the fun of droping something cool.
Before i mostly stoped playing, most of my caracthers and heroes had green weapon or the ones that we get with the /bonus command. All the drops were sold. — TulipVorlax 04:16, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

Merge seems ok Edit

It seems my account was merge ok. I did not knowed that it needed to have the same email but maybe it had it already... If someone see a GW-TulipVorlax some day, tell me and i'll ask Wikia about it. — TulipVorlax 01:46, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

french sidebar Edit

Please have a look at MediaWiki:Monaco-toolbox/fr and MediaWiki:Monaco-sidebar/fr and correct my mistakes. :-P --◄mendel► 08:30, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Merci for your kind corrections, I placed them all. --◄mendel► 09:57, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
It's about time ! Ahah, i'm kidding. ;-) I should have ask you about the sidebar sooner. — TulipVorlax 10:01, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Does this deserve a page ? Edit

I sometimes find things (in game) that are documented on others languages wiki but not here. So i'm starting a section on my own talk to post images showing my findings.

See Asura Flame Staff. I added a redirect to that name. I am surprised it is listed as a skill, I thought it was an effect. --◄mendel► 07:20, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Yes, i see many "effect"s listed as "skill" lately. Could it be a changed that was not documented ? I can't count the number of times we have to change name of pages on fr.guildwars because translation change without any comment about it from Anet in the updates notes. Just a couple of hours ago i had to rename a Factions monk skill (the only change an uppercase to lowercase on a word wich is now the correct way for french, it's not all bad but if Anet could just tell us...). — TulipVorlax 07:27, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
The game engine treats all skills and effects equally. The only real difference is whether it can be equipped on a skill bar (yours or a monster's) or not. Many "effects" are typed as Skills, Signets, or Enchantments.
Yes, I was the one that argued strongly for a separate {{Effect box}} template nearly a year ago, but after messing around with it all for so long, I'm thinking everything should be {{Skill box}}es anyway. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken 15:34, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Lol. That happened too at fr.guildwars. — TulipVorlax 19:12, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Asura on a StickEdit

I have seen on the GW2 trailer forum that you like Asura's So just for you (and the others who love Asura) A card :P You know any more who love them? BOOKA POWER ;P -- F1Sig † F1© Talk 20:57, September 5, 2009 (UTC)

Lol! — TulipVorlax 21:08, September 5, 2009 (UTC)

Wikisoft Edit

The User:Wikisoft* has spammed a french directory of wikis over several Wikia wikis, apparently; hasn't managed to correctly link to fr.guildwars, and asks for help setting up the welcome tool. I don't think any one of us is going to deal with that user; so if you want to, feel free to give it a go. --◄mendel► 13:16, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

His way seems a bit weird and doesn't make anyone very encline to deal with him neighter. But Cywil, the new french helper has reverted some of his edit on the french central wiki. — TulipVorlax 17:48, February 10, 2010 (UTC)
Merci beaucoup for taking an interest. --◄mendel► 00:42, February 11, 2010 (UTC)

Wikisoft* @@@-fr 10:29, February 11, 2010 (UTC)

Big changes for GuildWikiEdit

We, the GuildWiki community, have moved the GuildWiki content to a new site at http://www.guildwiki.org. It will maintain the look and feel of GuildWiki that you've been used to, and the majority of our active editors will be shifting their primary editing activity to there. (Read here for more information, including details on how to reclaim your account.)

The current wiki at guildwars.wikia.com will, of course, continue to be hosted by Wikia, and we have some big changes planned for it. Wikia has recently introduced a new user interface to all of its sites that emphasizes community interaction over encyclopedic content, so we're planning to leverage this new style and endeavor to turn GuildWars@Wikia into more of a fan community site, promoting fan-created content better than GuildWiki did. (Read here for more information.)

If you are still playing Guild Wars (or would like to do so again), now is a good time to get involved, either on GuildWiki at http://www.guildwiki.org or right here on GuildWars@Wikia.

Be sure to pass this info on to all other Guild Wars fans you know!
