Trivia
- In Japanese mythology, there is a mythical demonic nine-tailed fox called Kyuubi (kyuu means nine and bi means tail in Japanese), which is usually sculpted or painted in red color or at least with red parts. Kyuubi no kitsune (Nine-tails the fox) is also favourite in literature and games, where it is also popular to be part of nine tailed beasts. Korean counterpart to Kyuubi is Kumiho. This mythical animal originates from China.
- A Cat 'o Nine Tails is a special type of whip with nine branches, favoured because it is unlikely to miss and inflicts great damage, much like the skill.
