Notes[]
- This is the fastest recharging non-elite spell interrupt in the Mesmer repertoire. It enables a Mesmer to shut down an enemy caster using fewer skills. Psychic Distraction is the only unconditional interrupt that recharges faster.
- Since the amount of energy returned to the target is tied to attribute level and not the cost of the spell, this skill works great when interrupting skills with high energy costs, such as Meteor Shower, since energy gain will not compensate for the original cost of the spell.
- In PvE, monsters have much higher amounts of energy and energy regeneration than their profession/level would indicate. As a result, the drawbacks of this skill (i.e. the energy gained by the enemy) are minimal.
- Heroes will not spam this skill, maybe because of the energy back effect.
