Properties

  • Shadow damage is a damage type caused by some necromancer skills.
  • Skills that cause shadow damage ignore armor.
  • Weapons don't cause shadow damage. Necromancer staves and wands inflict dark damage or cold damage.

  • Since Shadow damage skills ignore armor, the only means of directly mitigating their effect is with damage negation skills such as Shielding Hands or Life Sheath or by interrupting/preventing the skill's activation altogether.
