Skill points are used to buy skills from skill trainers. Each skill costs one skill point and a certain amount of money. The first skill costs 50 gold, and with each skill purchase the gold cost for the next skill increases up to a point. However, the cost will not rise above 1000 gold.
The total number of unredeemed skill points is listed in the hero panel.
Acquiring skill points
A character acquires skill points in the following ways:
- Gaining character levels.
- Receiving mission rewards by completing missions.
- Completing quests which reward skill points.
Number of Skillpoints
- 1 Quest with Skillpoint reward in Prophecies Tutorial (from Devona)
- 25 Skillpoints from Missions in tyria (no Skillpoints for Bonus here)
- about 13 Skillpoints from Primary Quests in Cantha
- 39 Skillpoints from Missions with Master reward in cantha
- about 20 Skillpoints from Primary Quests in Elona
- 60 Skillpoints from Missions with Master reward in elona
So charackter may aquire about 158 Skillpoints trough Missions and Quests. (while doing so, you will eventually get skillpoints for levelups, those are not counted in this calculation)
Notes
- In Prophecies, there are many skill quests throughout the game. In Factions and Nightfall, there are skills offered by the training quests at Shing Jea Monastery and Istan. Consider doing these quests to conserve skill points.
