Area Name: Sorrow's Furnace

Region: Southern Shiverpeaks

Sorrow's Furnace is a difficult explorable area under the Shiverpeak Mountains. The area contains the mining operations of the Stone Summit and is overrun with new types of Summit units. It is recommended if entering the Furnace for the first time to take on the quest "To Sorrow's Furnace" and its sub-quests as they present a primer to the area. High Priest Alkar suggests that the Furnace used to be under Deldrimor control.

Sorrow's Furnace is an underground area (Game Update 14^th of September, Sorrows Furnace map), similar to The Underworld and The Fissure of Woe. The entrancee is found deep into the chasm in Grenth's Footprint almost directly north of Deldrimor War Camp.

Tip: One of the best ways to explore this area is to do the Summit Slaves quest. You will be able to enter as a spy and move about freely. This will allow you to know your way inside the Furnace, note the place of bosses and patrols as well as learn how to operate mechanisms.
