Summoning stone

A summoning stone is a special kind of item that allows you to summon an ally while in an explorable area. The summoned ally's level is the same as that of the character who summoned it, and only one summoned ally can be present at a time.

Except for the Igneous Summoning Stone, all summoning stones are single-use, and the summoned creature has a 30-minute lifespan. The Igneous Summoning Stone has unlimited uses and the summoned Imp has a 60-minute lifespan, but it cannot be used by level 20 characters.

Using a summoning stone will place the Summoning Sickness effect on your character. This effect has a 60 minute duration and prevents you from using any other summoning stones (like most effects, Summoning Sickness is removed when you zone).

• Automaton Summoning Stone - summons a Golem; quest reward for Zinn's Task.
• Igneous Summoning Stone - summons a Fire Imp; bonus item for specific Guild Wars purchases.

Factions

• Amber Summoning Stone - summons a Juggernaut; crafted in Urgoz's Warren outpost.
• Demonic Summoning Stone - summons a Oni; drops from the end chest of the elite mission The Deep.
• Jadeite Summoning Stone - summons a Siege Turtle; crafted in The Deep outpost.
• Mystical Summoning Stone - summons a Gaki; drop from the end chest of the elite mission Urgoz's Warren.

Eye of the North

• Arctic Summoning Stone - summons a Kveldulf; crafted in Gunnar's Hold.
• Chitinous Summoning Stone - summons a Devourer; crafted in Eye of the North.
• Fossilized Summoning Stone - summons a Raptor; crafted in Rata Sum.
• Gelatinous Summoning Stone - summons an Ooze; crafted in Central Transfer Chamber.

Special Events

• Frosty Summoning Stone - summons a Snowman ally; available as a quest reward during Wintersday 2008 .
• Mischievous Summoning Stone - Summon a Grentch ally; available as a quest reward during Wintersday 2008.
