Sunspear Bounties

Point Gain

In the different regions of Elona, Sunspear bounties will yield various amounts of promotion points. Only beginning characters can get Sunspear bounties on the Istan Islands. But anywhere else (Kourna, Vabbi, The Desolation), all characters should get the bounty and gain Sunspear Promotion Points.

Blessing. You gain double XP from <Species> and earn N <Sunspear Promotion Point(s) / Lightbringer point(s)> for each <Species> you slay.

In Hard Mode:

Blessing. You earn N <Sunspear Promotion Point(s) / Lightbringer point(s)> for each <Species> you slay. When you slay a <Species> boss, you gain N additional <Sunspear Promotion Point(s) / Lightbringer point(s)> (maximum N*25) for each <Species> slain while under the effects of this bounty.

The additional points are only gained for those slain prior to killing the boss.

Though perhaps obvious, it is worth noting that you will not gain points for killing pets of enemies (most notably those of the Beast Sworn Heket).

Notes

• In normal mode, characters are unable to receive any bounties in Istan after reaching Sunspear Commander (rank 6).
• Once you reach Sunspear Castellan (rank 8), you won't be able to receive any Sunspear bounties in normal mode.
• Sunspear and Lightbringer Bounties are always available in Hard Mode, even after reaching the maximum rank.
• The experience bonus from Insight Scrolls stacks with the bonus from these bounties.
• During the quest A Land of Heroes, a Kournan Bounty and a Corsair Bounty are given, both worth four faction points per kill, as long as the character has a Sunspear rank below Sunspear Commander (6). The quest can be repeated (do not accept the quest reward) to easily farm Sunspear points up to that rank.
