Survivor is a title that you can display for prestige.

It is awarded per character.

Survivor title track

To gain the following titles, one must obtain the experience required and incur 0 deaths (check with /deaths). Once the title is earned, it will not be lost upon death. However, your progression towards the next title halts once you die.

Rank Title Experience gained without dying:
1 Survivor 140,600
2 Indomitable Survivor 587,500
3 Legendary Survivor
(Max level)
1,337,500

The Survivor title is achieved at level 20. The higher titles are to be gained between "levels" 49 (100 points below level 50) and 100; however, the Legendary survivor title is skewed a bit to reflect the 1337-ness of whomever obtains it.

The Survivor title track will show up at level 5 if the character has zero deaths. If the character dies before achieving the first title, the title track disappears.

This title is sometimes regarded as the second "Lucky" title, as deaths caused by lag are common, uncontrollable by the player, and halt title progression. In addition, the Survivor titles may have a negative connotation when forming parties, as some players striving for the Survivor title will zone out whenever the team is in danger, leaving the team to avoid dying.

Should the player fail to get survivor on a character, that character can never progress any further in the title, and the player must start over with a new character if they wish to achieve the title.

The Survivor title is only failed if the /deaths counter is greater than 0. All normal deaths in both PvE and PvP add to this counter. Most forced deaths do not, although some (especially deaths during cutscenes) have been bugged in the past and did count.

For additional information on how to achieve this title and the kinds of "deaths" that won't fail the title, see the Survivor title guide.

Trivia

  • Because the experience total at the time of the character's first death is permanently displayed on the title, some players intentionally kill the character at a specific point after achieving Legendary Survivor in order to have a "spiffy" or "geeky" number on the title. A couple examples are 1,414,214xp (the square root of 2) and 1,732,051xp (the square root of 3).
