They look more like Charr than Tengu. They have manes and tails, and don't have any feathers. Their skulls don't look like Charr or Tengu skulls though. -- Gordon Ecker 03:16, 6 December 2006 (CST)

But if there were feathers wouldn't they have rotten/decayed and so wouldnt be there on the monster. so if you go to the Tengu page and imagine a bald tengu then got your awakened Defiler. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.190.46.125 (talk • contribs) 17:59, January 2, 2007 (CST).
A beakless tengu skull makes sense, but I still think it's a Charr tail. -- Gordon Ecker 01:26, 3 January 2007 (CST)
The only Tengu feature is the reverse joint legs. Tengu heads are much smaller. The feet and hands are that of a Charr, not a Tengu (especially the feet, which are claws not tallons with the one heal side tallon). There is fur, there is not feathers. Yes the feathers could well have rotted away, but if they did, they wouldn't turn to fur. Compair Awata (in Bone Palace) to Talon Silverwing (in Kaineng Center) if you really think it's a Tengu. That should convince you that it's not Tengu. For it to be charr, the muzzel looks a little short, but this is likely for artistic reasons (along with extra evil looking eye sockets). The only was I'm wrong about it not being Tengu is if there are alternate skins appart from Awata's. If I knew there were not, I would change this on the main page. --Mooseyfate 18:09, 13 March 2007 (CDT)
LoL. They're Chengu! ;) Sirocco 14:43, 15 July 2007 (CDT)
I think Palawa Joko might've stuck a Wallow skull on a headless mummified Charr. -- Gordon Ecker 18:22, 15 July 2007 (CDT)
It's obvious - they're charr, wearing masks. Morzansig Morzan 12:21, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
These are not at all Tengu, sorry. Very close to Charr. --Mooseyfate 06:09, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
