heres one for ya, if i become dazed and i switch to a -20% dazed duration shiled, will it apply to the dazed on me or must i have it on before i become dazed?
- I believe you have to have it on before you become dazed. Like applying Mantra of Recovery after casting something doesnt work. --Shadowcrest 23:23, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
is it just me or does this guide completely overlook the concept of weapon swapping other than for high energy sets. regardless of the "style" of the caster (that bit made me lol) its pretty common knowledge that a defensive set, a 40/40 set, a 40/20/20 staff, and a high energy set are basic caster sets. 76.98.149.51 13:12, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Major overhaul ideas[]
I find the current presentation troublesome: it's short on advice and long on details, making it less useful to vets, n00bs, and in-betweens. I'm drafting a re-write with three goals in mind:
- (1) focus text towards likely audiences: easy-to-find ideas for vets and clarified explanation of trade-offs for n00bs
- (2) reduce details in favor of advice
- (3) clarify the actual choices (it's not either/or: there are at least 5 combos possible, the worth of each is situational (not static); and players aren't stuck with a single combo: they can (and, arguably, should) bring multiple sets.
Although the page is in my user space, I welcome comments, corrections, and (for those inspired), substantive amendments. On a 1-10 scale, I would probably rate the current draft at 3: it provides the right emphasis upfront, but is long-winded. (At the very least, some of the justifications should move into a sub-article.)
