Is this classifiable as a bundle? o-o
They are picked up, and then spontaneously vanish into the next lock you look at closely. You never hold them like you hold a shackled dwarf. --Vipermagi 15:20, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

We really need a new designation for "items that disappear when you pick them up." I've reclassified them all as bundles for now just to get them out of the items category; this was not intended to be a permanent solution. Whatever we choose to call them, it should probably be a subcat of Items. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 15:45, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
Are these a subset of Interactive Items? Interactives are things like the Taro Plant (from which we get Taro Leaves). Traditionally, we think of II as fixed, but if we loosened that idea, things like the cell key and quest items that don't end up in inventory would qualify — we could call them Temporary Interactive Items. On the other hand, in game mechanics, I'm sure the fixed IIs are NPCs (at least, that's how things like Xunlai chests work); I don't know if these TIIs are treated similarly. (Perhaps it doesn't matter for GWiki classification purposes.)  —Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:04, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
You can't pick them up if your inventory is full, so they're like any other quest item that gets removed directly from your inventory. The only difference is how long you get to carry it around. --Macros 18:54, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
@Ernie: Those are interactive objects, you can't pick them up and they have yellow names (A,B,C), nothing else in the game is yellow. Items can be picked up, and when on the ground they have that golden sparkly effect, which you can see that the Cell Key has from our screenshot of it. All items are interactive because you can pick them up. The Xunlai Chest is an NPC because it has a lime-green name.
@Macros: I'm pretty sure they're not actual "Quest items", but we can at least verify that since the item's description is shown when you mouseover it on the ground. I'm not disputing that they are items as opposed to bundles, the only question is what to call them. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 19:24, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
They don't say "quest item" (at least, the cell keys don't). Transitory items?  —Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:57, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
They do, actually, say they are quest items on the floor. --Vipermagi 19:49, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Well shiver me shiverals, they do indeed. I'll even put a screenshot here in case anyone else is skeptical. Now we just have to check out all the other insta-vanish items, and figure out what to do with their icon in the infobox. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 13:39, October 9, 2010 (UTC)
The keys/treasures in Dasha Vestibule are not quest items, they have no description at all. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken.gif 14:00, October 9, 2010 (UTC)
