Cheswick[]
Claims that Gwen is the only non-festival child in Prophecies reminded me once again of Cheswick, which is a name that makes me laugh when I read it.
Twenty-one months ago, I travelled overseas for the first time and stopped a few places in Usonia. A couple of friends of mine were getting married to each other in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, and it was too far to catch a taxi to from the Pittsburgh airport, so my travel buddy and I had decided to hire a car. We did, and she bravely drove on the right side of the road for the first time. We drove for hours trying to find the town, and, eventually, we parked in a shopping centre carpark and rang for more specific directions. "Where are you?" the bride-to-be asked. "Some place called Cheswick," I answered forlornly. "Oh, I know Cheswick! My aunt lives there!" she told me. More driving on the wrong side of the road in the dark in a foreign country ensued before we reached our hotel.
And recalling that entire memory is why Cheswick makes me laugh. -- Dashface 11:53, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
