Argh! I was all excited today when I realized you can have only one weapon spell at a time, and this would totally replace weapon of warding or resilient weapon. Meaning you'd actually have a way, albeit a hard to use way, to remove weapon spells from enemies! Oh wait. Dulled weapon isn't actually a weapon spell. Ain't that the suck. --67.169.91.223 20:35, 23 October 2006 (CDT)
This is a hex spell placed on foes.
Suggestion: Weapon Spell 10 e 1sec 10r. Target ally gains a dull weapon. That ally can not crit but deals +8...35 damage. Lost-Blue 02:23, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- A skill with massive damage bonus without a real drawback, that can even stack with spiritual strenght where brutal weapon can't? lol LaDoncella 17:40, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- This skill seems perfectly good in it's normal state, it's basiclly a non elite version of Stone Sheath; costs more energy and doesn't convert damage to earth type, but the damage reduction is still significant and worth considering, not to mention the devestating effect on builds that rely on criticals and protects against "Go for the Eyes" (The very fact so many paragons use GTFE should demonstrate that critical hits are a genuine asset to a parties effectiveness) --85.62.18.8 13:08, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- They use GFTE for energy management first, and crits second. --150.101.146.197 13:18, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
I know it doesn't seem fitting since this skill was originally a melee deterrent, but because the wording just says "...deals xx less damage.", does that mean it reduces any damage, or is it damage only from weapon based sources? (I.E., not spells) Kaze 00:54, June 10, 2010 (UTC)
