- Oh funny, no one fails, except that kid who stone daggered someone with sb and then wondered why they had no energy. -- Xeon 10:03, 21 July 2007 (CDT)

Causes[]
# Most Assassin attack skills have prerequisites to work. If these are not met, the attack will fail. And yet, those attack skills still incur a recharge as per normal, which goes against what the first paragraph says (If the action is a skill, it does not need to recharge). Either assassin skills "failing" is different from all other skills "failing," or something on this page is wrong. -Auron 03:11, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

- Just tested on Isle of Nameless using Twisting Fangs, it recharges instantly and I get two miss messages.--îğá†ħŕášħ 05:31, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- Auron meant Falling Lotus and Falling Spider, I believe. Skills that can be used with no prerequisite but have a condition. 05:32, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, good. I thought Anet had nerfed assassins again >.> --Macros 05:56, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- Using Falling Spider Strike I got a fail message, NOT a miss message, and it DID start the recharge.--îğá†ħŕášħ 05:58, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, as it should. Everything is fine except the article. 06:14, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- If I remember correctly: if the Assassin skill starts greyed-out in the skillbar (eg. Exhausting Assault), then you can keep hitting it and you'll get automatic miss with no recharge. But something like Falling Spider, which is not greyed out, will miss and start to recharge. That was always my guideline in the Sand Shards days. >.> (T/C) 06:25, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

forfeiting exhaustion[]
Wanna check if it's just me. Does "exhausion is forfeited" sound weird/misleading to anyone else? -User:PanSola (talk to the ) 00:18, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
- Except for Invoke Lightning, all skills which cause Exhaustion will give it regardless if the skill succeeds or not, so it is a bit of a strange wording... I mean, I understand what it is trying to say, that you will still suffer from Exhaustion. But "forfeit" isn't the right way to describe that, as it implies giving up exhaustion, and that would be a benefit. (T/C) 01:09, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
- My thoughts exactly, thanks for the confirmation that it does sound weird/misleading! (-: -User:PanSola (talk to the ) 01:45, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
