Turns out all the different Yeti from Factions can drop Fur too - have screenshots if need proof, it certainly happens
- I saw fur squares drop plenty and from many different mobs in factions, definitly not only Yeti. My inventory of fur squares went up from 1 to above 20 during factions so far. --Xeeron 06:57, 22 May 2006 (CDT)
Are you sure about the link between cloth and fur drops in cantha? It is my impression that creatures who drop cloth rather drop silk and those who drop tanned hodes drop fur. --84-175 (talk) 07:48, 22 May 2006 (CDT)
- I think thats misinformation or a typo. In my experience, those that drop cloth also drop linen and silk. Those that drop tanned hide squares also drop leather squares and fur squares. --Gares Redstorm 07:58, 22 May 2006 (CDT)

Salvage vs Trade[]
I'm surprised there isn't more of a discussion on using Expert Salvage Kits to salvage the Fur Squares from Charr hides / Losaru hides, etc... my experience is that while trading with Calissa will give one square for four hides, salvaging will give one fur every three or so tries. Now, you also have to calculate the cost of the Expert Salvage Kit, but it seems to me you still come out ahead. --zcollier 17:34, 2 August 2007 (CDT)
- From what I've seen, it's a bit more beneficial to just farm the hides and trade them in. Salvaging can get expensive if youre on a very ratio of hides/kits, and most of the time it only yields about 2-3 bolts of cloth.--†Fallen† 23:36, 12 September 2007 (CDT)
