at 15 energy and 30 recharge I doubt this has a use on any build... Just IMO --Life Infusion 12:46, 18 August 2006 (CDT)
- Could be some use on a ranger primary with high expertise.--Coloneh 21:17, 9 October 2006 (CDT)
- Also, given that it's most likely to be used with a build with lots of signets, possibly in conjunction with Keystone Signet, the large energy cost need not be a problem. -- Karalin (talk|contribs) 16:05, 6 January 2007 (CST)
- Another thing this works well with is in a build based around Signet of Suffering so that you can hit for another 130 armor-ignoring dmg. Energy will be a problem if you're doing the spike by yourself, though. --Mafaraxas 00:01, 22 August 2007 (CDT)
- Mantra of Inscriptions helps a lot more, due to increasing overall pressure than to spiking again on 2 second cast times. --Kale Ironfist 02:16, 22 August 2007 (CDT)
- Meh, there's better necromancer elites out there for pressure. Signet of Suffering never was the greatest skill... only thing i could see it doing is creating faux spikes so monks use their infuse health on the wrong person. If the activation time were 1 second it'd be a different story... but anyways. Back to Mantra of Signets. Yep, it has its limited uses. --Mafaraxas 04:14, 22 August 2007 (CDT)
- This skill can/already is used in a organized team spike with signet of suffering, with the possiblity of a reaper's mark necro you could very well wipe out a combat team. This skill can do a high amount of damage(not by itself, but with others), in fact, I believe that it has the highest capable damage without getting any skills above 12 in any attribute. Sure, Rodgort's invocation and such can easily get to 140+ in direct damage, but with signet of suffering, you can get to 140 without maxing it, you just need alot of hexes which is quite easy to do. Powerful, but needs a buff with damage, the damage cap, recharge or activation. Any of those would greatly improve the chances of this appearing anytime soon in force.
- As for this skill itself, lower cost and possibly affect the next signet and decrease the recharge of that signet as well. This and signet of suffering are far from limited use but most like hard to apply but good use. Flechette 04:23, 22 August 2007 (CDT)
