Article name in singular, anyone? --Tetris L TurningL sml 08:05, 25 April 2006 (CDT)

Agreed, it is just the same as any other quest item. --Jamie 08:16, 25 April 2006 (CDT)
There are some few items that always come in plural, like Giant's Boots. The question is whether it is possible to find a single Naga Fang. --Tetris L TurningL sml 08:21, 25 April 2006 (CDT)
Elementary, my dear Tetris L, only time may tell *puffs on pipe* --Jamie 08:22, 25 April 2006 (CDT)

What on earth is Kisu doing with all those fangs? — Stabber  15:31, 27 April 2006 (CDT)

Do you need a picture of these fangs for this article? I have some of these still on one of my characters. --SK Monk-icon-small 11:46, 1 September 2006 (CDT)

Not legacy, but not current

So I buy the argument that, since ppls can still store these things, they aren't legacy under the definition offered in {{legacy}}. But, these aren't current either — they have no in-game value or purpose at the moment.

  1. Should we change the description of legacy to account for such items?
  2. Should we offer an alternative template to legacy to account for them?

Basically, I don't like to see Naga Fang and the like appear in the same cats/lists as current items — I think it distracts and clutters the current data.  —Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 23:39, September 21, 2010 (UTC)

Either of those options would be fine.
Regardless of the template, though, most of our legacy articles are still categorized normally. Honestly, I think you'd want them to still be categorized, otherwise they're all just legacy "stuff" and you can't tell an item from an NPC (without reading the article, anyway). As for lists, most of our current QRs and stuff are manually-created, so there's no problem there. I don't think we've run into a problem with dynamic lists yet, but both DPL and SMW can account for legacy articles by filtering out the category. —Dr Ishmael Diablo the chicken 01:18, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, that's the idea — looking toward the future. I'm guessing with items, the future is now — for other articles, we might have to wait longer. I'll toy w/the legacy template — maybe a flag for "no longer useful, but still in game" so that there aren't two templates. (And, if anyone uses Legacy w/o realizing the option, it's easier to change.)  —Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:29, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
