but i like it :) hope that it dyes intensive... — Zerpha The Improver 12:41, 24 August 2007 (CDT)
I swear, it looks like you ripped part of someone's roof off and are using it for a shield...68.82.216.207 03:45, 25 August 2007 (CDT)
- lol, most likely
Looks good on my monk, and the dye is a sort of "intense" you could say.137.164.198.146
The dye changes the color of the entire shield, but rust spots tend to stay about the color they were before the dye. Black makes this shield look stunning. Hebe 00:26, 1 September 2007 (CDT)
someone doesn't get homonyms at ANet?[]
It looks like it's woven from strips of metal. That would be plaited, not plated. Maybe I'm wrong here, but that's how it looks to me - and I can just picture the designer telling the programmer over the phone "Shield number 24, plaited shield, shield number 25..." -- ~ Epinephrine 15:03, 27 August 2007 (CDT)
- Agreed. Sirocco 15:56, 27 August 2007 (CDT)
- Disagree... maybe it's called plated because it's made up of metal plates? Tain 22:30, 24 September 2007 (CDT)
- Should be "Braided" if it was meant to be "Plaited". Plated makes me think of a flat surface.

- Plated is the process of having a type of metal sheet fused over as in "onto" a surface. Basically it's putting something over something then sticking both together. And that comes from memory, the stuff they teach in high schools these days... Flechette 22:41, 24 September 2007 (CDT)

Ugly[]
Am I the only person who thinks this is the UGLIEST shield in the game?-- (Talk) (Contr.) 20:54, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yes--Darksyde Never Again 16:49, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- It is pretty miserable, but Darksyde makes an excellent point.

- No, Signet Shield would be the ugliest and no, this shield isn't ugly when you actually wear it IMO. It also dyes nicely. Jennalee 00:27, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- If it's good enough for Captain Langmar, it's good enough for me.

It dropped in forgewith last night from the end chest. Can someone add it as a possible dropping place?
