updated pics[]
Hey was looking for an armour to buy to contribute to wiki. Chose this one, updated pics, and feel like I'm missing something. I didn't put "[[Category:Armor gallery screenshots]]
" on the images that I replaced, because
quote "If you are uploading a brand-new image (from a redlink), then on the upload form, be sure to select the option that says "This is a screenshot from the game" from the "Licensing" drop-down box. Also, please copy the following line into the "Summary" box, which will automatically categorize the image as an armor gallery screenshot. This step is not necessary if you are uploading a new version for an existing image."
Still, I saw that the actual "[[Category:Armor gallery screenshots]]
" was missing from some of the previously existing files. Should I go ahead and re-edit the files with the new information? --╬KaceysChevalier╬ 23:02, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- If you want to, go ahead. I've been planning to run a bot to add that to all existing images in all armor galleries (thus why you wouldn't need to add it for re-uploads), I just haven't gotten around to it yet. —Dr Ishmael 23:31, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- I had trouble inserting said text into the summary without having to upload the picture again enough to be discouraged from figuring it out. Any tips/suggestions for moi? --╬KaceysChevalier╬ 07:10, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- Um... I'm not entirely certain I know what you mean, but if you were putting
[[Category:Armor gallery screenshots]]
in the "Summary" textbox when re-uploading an image, that doesn't work - only when an image is first uploaded does the Summary from the upload form appear on the page, otherwise it's only used as that revision's summary in the file history section. After an image has been uploaded, you have to edit the page itself to make any changes. —Dr Ishmael 17:18, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
