Bosses

These guys are bosses, my Wastrel's Worry lasts 1.5 seconds on them, and they have natural regeneration of 1 or 2! I guess ANet copied Hail Blackice's model but didn't take the special stuff away! They don't have a glow and you can't caputre from them though. — Skuld 03:22, 5 March 2006 (CST)

There are a lot of creatures like that. They have boss-like buffs, but are not bosses. Examples include the great Rotscale, Wurms, the Dragon Liches and, I believe, the Djinn. Playing a necro, I have seen a number of these guys in-game now. You can easily tell when SS has been chopped from 20 seconds to 10. --Karlos 03:55, 5 March 2006 (CST)

political wrongifications?

i don't think these guys are with the stone summit. they, Hail and Rune are like the ice elementals (pre-searing, not underworld, in that they are not servants of grenth blablabla) and are just there because of... well, the same reasons stone elementals exist. they're just there. get over it. they aint stone summit, because the summit always keep their golems with them and the rock ices are well OUT of stone summit territory.- Neilos Tyrhanos, some time in the day, 29 june.

Maybe Hail and his posse are a little sweet on you and they stop to discuss their views on politics with your party, but in my case they're always keen on shoving their icy fists where the sun doesn't shine. Is there any indication at all that they're NOT Stone Summit? Have you tried getting them to fight the Stone Summit in the area, and if so, did it work? It's a rotten shame that Chains of Enslavement ends when you exit Sorrow's Furnace, or it would be easy to test this, but I think this is as bogus as your claim that they're "well out of Stone Summit territory". They're in the Southern Shiverpeaks, home and native territory to those rotten dwarves. They're a stone's throw away from a giant clutter of Stone Summit, blocking your passage to the Granite Citadel. If you somehow missed all that, maybe Hail's Skull Crack is more effective than I initially gave it credit for. They're fairly close to about a dozen Siege Ice Golems, although I'm not sure if they're close enough for EoE. I can test it once my ranger gets to Southern Shiverpeaks. -- Gordon Ecker 16:56, 7 August 2006 (CDT)
