I believe the bug template can now be removed thanks to last night's update - I haven't traded anyone yet so it just needs confirming in-game by someone. Joseph C 12:47, 12 January 2007 (CST) Really need to find Price list

Trade Channel improvements?

The article states that local channel sellers have an advantage over trade channel sellers b/c of the chat channels colors. I agree. Can we make some sort of petition to change the Trade channel into a less painful and annoying thing to look at? I can barely see it after straining, and it's ugly IMO. -Kumdori 04:09, 21 June 2007 (CDT)

If you mean, say buying "Super Sword of Slashing" for X gold via the in-game Trade window, then would say No. To my understanding you and your trade partner connect to a GW server, there is no direct communication between your PC and your trade partner's PC. Besides, see no reason why you're game product key would need to be involved during in-game trading. Product keys only used for determining what content is "available" to your account, so while there are plenty of ways for ppl to get such things on your PC, it would normally be via the use of some third-party GW "utility" (which just happens to have a key-logger "built in", re: "trojan horse") or your PC gets infected with some other kind of virus exploit, regular in-game trading of items between players would not especially expose your PC to such things. --Wolfie Wolfie sig (talk|contribs) 04:32, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
