according to the in game map, ascalon should be astalon... or c and t are same...

Huh? Screenshot please. --Rainith 12:07, 27 December 2006 (CST)
I think the anon is talking about this: Image:Tyria.jpg. On the map are some runes - if you assume that the language in-game is english and they just have a different alphabet (which could be a flawed assumption, I have no idea), then you can convert the runes to the english alphabet equivalent. Then where Ascalon should be, the the rune for the "C" is ascalon is the same as the rune for "T" in Tyria at the very top of the map. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 12:33, 27 December 2006 (CST)
Ah, I thought "in game" was referring to the "M" map.  :) --Rainith 14:50, 27 December 2006 (CST)
The runes for T and C are the same; look ath the Crystal Desert. 206.53.65.108 18:05, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Is there a reason there's no map of tyria with all the towns/outposts/etc? There's one for Cantha and Elona. P A R A S I T I C 02:15, 28 May 2007 (CDT)

The in-game map is actually the map that existed in the very first betas of guildwars.

In the map you linked above, isn't Cantha supposed to be slightly South-East of the Magumma Jungle and East of the Fire Island Chain?. Zulu Inuoe 00:28, 24 July 2007 (CDT)

No, Cantha is to the VERY FAR SOUTH of the Tyrian continent. --Kale Ironfist 01:36, 24 July 2007 (CDT)

I added Blazeridge Mountains as one region, since it's accessible in GW2 it should be considered as a region.

Trivia[]

Should it be noted that there was an outpost named "Tyre" in Jerusalem area during the crusades, I personally think it should be noted as the city of "Ascalon" was also loacted in that area (and is still there) and they are actually not that far away from each other. 66.191.128.3 13:56, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
