The Unworthy were spirits that blocked the entrance to the Global Tournament when the rift Portal was situated at the Tomb of the Primeval Kings. They were the ghosts of those who have been found unworthy to make it to the Hall of Heroes. They had become spiteful, trying to hold back adventurers from the entrance into the Rift. Defeating the Unworthy was the only test that teams taking part in the Global Tournament had to pass before advancing to the PvP maps.
At the new Rift Portal location, Heroes' Ascent, the entrance trial is to defeat the Zaishen Warriors that guard it. These guards are often referred to by players as "The Unworthy", still remembering the old days at the Tomb of Primeval Kings. List of Unworthy Units:
