All You Could Ever Want to Know About Me...and More!
I'm a male player in my mid-20's. I play Guild Wars because my best friend played it and wanted me to play it, but at the time my computer couldn't handle it. Once I got a better comp(in Oct '05), I got it and have been playing since. I have 2 Prophecies accounts, both with Factions and Nightfall linked. Before I started GW I was a dedicated Diablo 2:LoD player, and still fire it up regularly. I also play Pogo.com and occasionally Xbox(still no 360:-/), in games such as Rainbow Six 3:Black Arrow, Ghost Recon 2, GR2:Summit Strike, Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory, Crimson Skies, and various others, though my Black Arrow is my favorite(I really want an Xbox 360 now so I can play RS:Vegas and Fable 2, grr). Aside from gaming, my primary interests are music and movies, with music being my single greatest love barring friends and family. I listen to several different musical styles, but metal is my favorite. Favorite metal bands include Blind Guardian, Savatage/TSO, Jon Oliva's Pain, Circle II Circle, Sabbat(UK)/Skyclad, Falconer, Tarot, Rage, Wuthering Heights, Heathen, and Iced Earth. From the non-metal side of things, I like Johnny Cash, Steve Earle, Chris Knight, Tom Petty, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, New Model Army, Ten, Blue Oyster Cult, Magnum/Bob Catley, and Jethro Tull to name a few. As far as films go, a few faves include Pulp Fiction, Braveheart, The 13th Warrior, Conan the Barbarian, The Killer, The Crow, Big Trouble in Little China, Tremors, and the Lord of the Rings movies. On the television side, the shows I currently watch are the various Law & Order shows, The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, and 24, and I also enjoy a lot of non-current shows, such as Have Gun Will Travel, Marshall Dillon/Gunsmoke, Columbo, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Justice League(I'm a longtime comic junkie, with JLA in particular being a fave), Highlander, and The 3 Stooges. I also like pro-wrestling, though the current WWE product bores me and I get most of my wrestling fix from TNA/Ring of Honor. And last of all, unlike many people my age, I even enjoy READING. I tend to read horror and fantasy mostly, with favorite authors being Robert E. Howard(creator of Conan, though I prefer his Solomon Kane stories), Robert R. McCammon, Brian Lumley, H.P. Lovecraft, and, as will be obvious to anyone who reads my character profiles, Michael Moorcock.
In Guild Wars, my favorite professions are ranger and paragon, followed by necromancer and elementalist. While I enjoy my warrior and assassin, ultimately their play style is not my ideal play style, so I don't favor them as much as I do my ranged attackers. My mesmer I enjoy as well, but am not as often in the mood to play him as I am my other casters. Recent playing with ritualist as been enjoyable, but I'm not sure where I'll rank him overall yet. Behind ranger, para and necro, not sure if I prefer him to ele and mes or not. I've also started a dervish, but he's still low level so I can't give a solid opinion. Early playing makes me think I'll rank him at the same level as warrior and assassin though. I haven't done much with monk, as I tend to prefer to be dealing damage myself, rather than having to focus on how healthy everyone else is. Maybe I'll eventually give her a smiting setup or something(and I really should level her up, so I can eventually use her to 55). And of course, you can see my character info below for more info on my playstyle.
My contributions to the Wiki include submitting and discussing builds, commenting on skills and items, correcting typos and grammatical errors, adding update info, creating pages and uploading images for various weapons and items, posting notes and trivia tidbits, and organizing/cleaning up pages that needed it.
My sandbox, with skill ideas and random commentary on assorted GW stuff.
My Guild Wars page for builds that I like, want to test, or want to save for some reason.
Oh, hey, BTW, fuck you Wikia for your shitty ad placement. I thought one of the "advantages" of Gravewit selling us out to Wikia was less advertisements. Not only do I NOT see less ads, I see a BIG FUCKING AD BAR(plus a "Wikia spotlight" screwing up the format of many of the pages I've looked at. GG, morons.
Prophecies+Factions+Nightfall+Eye of the North linked account.
Has added a Factions pre-order key, a Nightfall pre-release pack key, a PC Gamer Mini Gray Giant key, a PC Gamer Mini Asura key, a PC Gamer Mini Destroyer of Flesh key, a MMOZine Mini Ceratadon key, and a GotY Edition upgrade. Will always be the first account to have anything added to it.
Officer of the Psycho Titans(PT), my first and to date only guild.
The name of my character and my pet was inspired by the fantasy works of Michael Moorcock. Erik because of the similarities to Elric, Hawkthorn as an offshoot of Hawkmoon, and Stormbringer from Elric's sword.
My very first Guild Wars character on my primary account, and still my favorite.
Born in the year of the Monkey.
Over 6 million experience.
Completed both 15 attribute point quests.
First and to date only character to beat Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and EotN.
Can use any secondary profession, normally uses monk as default.
All ranger skills unlocked.
Has unlocked all heros, gotten them all to level 20, and has had all of them charm a pet.
Normally wears 1k Radiant Druids Armor with 1k Radiant Drakescale gloves and boots, also carries full Pyrebound Elite Drakescale and Frostbound Luxon suits, all armor sets dyed green, all infused.
Carries masks for all attributes, all dyed green and infused. Mask designs include Luxon, Sunspear, and Hunter. Also has a Green x2+Blue+Brown Radiant Crown.
Has his Tengu Helm dyed green+brown, Dragon Mask dyed green+black, Jester's Cap dyed green+brown, and Lion Mask dyed green+black+grey.
Last name follows my usual naming pattern, first name taken because of the thematic links to Vlad the Impaler, Dracula, and as such the undead in general. Also because I wanted a Russian sounding name. Pet was named for Arioch, duke of Chaos, in Michael Moorcock's Elric and Corum stories.
First character on my secondary account(primary account was full, and I really wanted to play a necro).
Born in the year of the Dog.
My largest character(max size), he even dwarfs many warriors.
Bears somewhat of a resemblance to Frankenstein's Monster.
Completed both 15 attribute point quests.
Can use any secondary profession, but almost always runs monk or mesmer.
Normally wears full infused 1k Shing Jea Pyromancer's boots, 1k Canthan Pyromancer's leggings, and 1k Pyromancer's Iceforged robes and gloves, all dyed blue+green+blue. Also has 1k Hydromancer's Shing Jea Robes/1.5k Ascalon Hydromancer's Leggings, 1k Krytan Geomancer's Robes and Leggings, and 1k Canthan Aeromancer's Robes/1k Shing Jea Aeromancer's Leggings, all dyed the same color.
Has Pyromancer, Aeromancer, Hydromancer, Geomancer, and Everlasting Auras.
Has his Dragon Mask dyed blue+green+blue, his Tengu Helm and Lion Mask dyed green+blue, and his Jester's Cap dyed green+blue+white.
Last name follows my normal pattern, first name is a reversal of the words that make up Zatoichi(which means, roughly, "Low Ranking Blind Man Ichi"). Zatoichi was the the main character in the Japanese Blind Swordsman series of movies and television shows. Being that the name is Asian, and references a blind man, I thought it appropriate for a ritualist.
Fourth roleplaying character on my primary account.
Currently my primary farming character.
Born in the year of the Rabbit.
Over 1 million experience.
Has completed both 15 attribute point quests.
Can be Necromancer, Monk, Warrior, Ranger, Assassin, Mesmer, Elementalist, or Paragon secondary, will have all others available soon.
Last name follows my normal pattern, first name is taken from Crom, the god of earth and war in the Conan the Barbarian series of books. I actually chose it because of a quote from the Conan the Barbarian movie however, when Conan is debating religion with Subodai, and explains to Subodai, who worships the god of the four winds, that "Crom laughs at your four winds." Pet's name is from Mabelode, the faceless Lord of Chaos in Michael Moorcock's Elric and Corum stories.
Second character on my secondary account.
Born in the year of the Pig.
Has completed both 15 attribute point quests.
Has chosen Monk as his secondary profession(yep, he's a wammo}, but can be any secondary except for assassin and ritualist.
Wears green+blue Canthan Gladiator's armor with green+blue Canthan Berserker's boots, all infused. Has a blue+green pair of Canthan Stonefist gauntlets for running hammer warrior. Eventually plans to get 15k Luxon armor, and possibly 1.5k Kurzick armor as well.
Has a green+blue infused Canthan axe mastery helm, a Wyvern swordsmanship helm dyed same color, and a Charr Hide hammer mastery helm dyed the same as well.
